The Duo Series is a live concert project in which I play 1-2 sets of fully improvised music, each iteration with a different duo partner.

Playing duo is one of my favorite things because it really reflects the art of human relating, as both duo partners continuously redefine the role they’re playing in each moment. In an increasingly fragmented world, this is a quality that I think we all benefit from tapping into.

Before the set starts, audience members are invited to share a brief note/sentiment/quote/something that’s on their mind, which we use as a prompt in the performance. The notes are displayed (anonymously) so that audience members can have a point of connection between each other and to the content of the music that’s played.
