As an internationally sought-after tap percussionist/producer, Sandra is known for her unique approach to tap as a music instrument.
Sandra writes, records, and performs her own original music, in which tap is the exclusive percussive instrument, in solo, duo, and ensemble contexts.
Working both on stage and in the studio, Sandra deconstructs the classic tap vocabulary in order to be a full member of the rhythm section, rather than just a special effect.
Though uncategorizable, the unifying element of her music is her main instrument, tap percussion, being the foundation.
Besides her refined process of recording taps, she also uses homemade tap sample kits to make beats and add a whole other sonic layer to the rhythm section of her tracks.
She has built her very own approach to producing and mixing tap percussion-based music and continues to explore ever-new frameworks for tap percussion.

Despite its intricate polyrhythmic structure and odd time signature, the track exudes an irresistible groove that captivates audiences and invites them to embark on their own journey of self-discovery.
"Melodically, ‘Beholden To No One’ is a staggering sonic sensation that is inimitable and even more difficult to completely describe – more feeling than just listening. Yet, it is the lyricism that adds depth to an already intricate tune." - The Other Side Reviews
